Basal NMDAR activity drives the synapto-nuclear messenger protein Jacob in NLS-dependent manner into the nucleus where it transiently but prominently localizes to the nuclear envelope via interaction with LaminB1. Association with the nuclear periphery is also mediated by a NES-CRM1-RanGTP dependent mechanism
